The New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children (NMAEYC) works on behalf of early childhood education professionals, young children and their families. An affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), NMAEYC has about 1,000 members in New Mexico.
NMAEYC's mission is to promote quality care and education for the wellbeing of ALL young children, birth to eight, through professional development and advocacy.
NMAEYC offers salary incentives and scholarships to early childhood educators who further their education, manages a searchable directory of early childhood higher education programs and courses, and organizes a large annual conference for educators from across the state. They also contribute innovative and creative ideas such as Shared Services and the Wonder of Learning exhibit to address the challenges of their field, and play a leading role in advocating for effective early childhood policies in New Mexico.
Our Work for this Client
NMAEYC needed a website that was easy to navigate, engaged members, reflected their organization's programs and activities, and could be easily updated by staff.
We built a responsive design website with a visually appealing design - full of photos and video - to make their mission and programs come alive.
The new site includes many engaging features including:
- Searchable directory of early childhood higher education courses
- Interactive map of early childhood higher education programs
- Large landing page images to highlight key programs and events
- Web forms to help facilitate annual conference management
- News & advocacy updates to keep members up-to-date
- Social media sharing and optimization
The site was launched in July of 2014 and has already received many accolades from NMAEYC members.
Digital Social Marketing
We launched NMAEYC on Twitter, YouTube and Google+, and updated their branding on Facebook. We also provided extensive best practices training to help their team get things off the ground with these platforms.
To reach their members and program beneficiaries with targeted messaging, we set NMAEYC up with a nonprofit donation from Vertical Response and created branded email templates optimized for mobile. We then trained the team to use best practices to help their email marketing strategy succeed.
Upleaf also helped NMAEYC craft an 18-month communication plan to guide content development and social media messaging, and help keep the team focused on meeting their strategy goals.
